Good Morning fellow crafters!! Have you ever just wanted to find a good sketch when your in a crafting slump? Well, Flourishes, Becky Fleck and Page Maps are teaming up to offer you a nice challenging sketch to kick start your creative juices, again!
When I saw this sketch I got excited to try something I had been wanting to do; incorporate a pleated banner. It's been an idea I've been playing around with and wanted to see if it would work.
I chose to feature Flourishes "Life Lines" on a machine stitched paper from My Mind's Eye, to which I added a lace doily that I placed a Spellbinders "Damask Motifs" diecut in Kraft cardstock. I placed a Prima flower on top of the diecut, then placed some bling on it. I punched a decorative border on some cardstock and used my scoring board to score it. After that I punched some holes in it and threaded a ribbon through it then attached it to my card.
I hope you are enjoying the Flourishes and PageMaps team up and are re-inspired to create something beautiful this weekend! I can't wait to see what everyone else has created! :)
Have a great weekend and have fun creating!!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday: Thank You Card or Tag
Good morning happy challenge chasers (ahhh, the good old days!), I hope you had a nice Memorial Day weekend! It's time to go back to work, and it's also Flourishes Timeless Tuesday, my favorite blog day of the week!! :) This week Mona is challenging us to create: A Thank You Card or Tag.
I have made many thank you cards, but I have never made a thank you tag before, and that intrigued me. So I decided to go with creating the tag. I used to work with tags for journaling when I was a scrapbooker, but for some reason I couldn't make them translate well on my cards. So I decided to create something that didn't look so much like a tag... Is that even possible?
I chose to use Flourishes "A Year in Flowers 2" using the June Rose stamp, for my image. I stamped it in Memento "Rich Cocoa" and colored it in, then cut it out with my craft knife and popped it up on popdots. I layered the image over an oval diecut and sponged around it in "Scattered Straw" Distress Ink. I used a Spellbinders Fancy Tag #3 under the oval diecut then used a Martha Stewart punch on some paper for some interest, added pearls and May Arts "Ivory" ribbon on to the top of my tag (it's hanging behind the tag), to top it off.

Timeless Tuesday: Flowers
Good Morning! It's great to see you back! It's time for Flourishes weekly Timeless Tuesday Challenge! Don't they just sneak up on you? I remember when I was playing along, I would barely squeak out a card and it would be time for another TT challenge! :)
This week Beate is challenging us to celebrate spring and create a card or project that uses Flowers!
I know when I saw that challenge my mind started buzzing with ideas! I could cut this or color that, or make this look 3D or use that stamp, ect. But I wanted to further challenge myself like never before. I chose to create a card that was a CAS (Clean-And-Simple) card that was "flat fronted" and if you know my cards by now, I love to cut my images out and pop them up in 3D fashion. I also decided to use only Copic markers, instead of my usual watercolors. I am very new to Copics and don't know how to shade or use them so I am definitely out of my comfort zone, there! No water to save me if I make a mistake on paper! :)
* Note: I used only a few from each family, not All of the markers from each, maybe only one or two.

More Exciting News!!
A few weeks ago, a dear fellow scrapbooker by the name of Beate Johns, who is head of Flourishes Timeless Tuesday, asked me if I was interested in joining her in a Splitcoast Stampers product focus group. Was I?!?!?!Of course I was! When I started out scrapbooking, I had no idea what was what, and how to use many of the tools that scrapbookers can choose from. I had to learn it all on my own and could have used a group like this, when I started!
I am an organizational fanatic when I scrap. After each project is completed, I always clean up before I start another creation. but what really slows me down is how terrible my set up really was. So you can imagine my insane excitement when Beate told me we were going to review Stamp-N-Storage for all of our organizing needs :)
I have uploaded my review here on Splitcoast Stampers: Product Focus Group
Please do visit and read all of our views and comments on the Stamp-N-Storage products :)
Have a great day!

Timeless Tuesday Pick A Letter
Good morning and welcome to another Timeless Tuesday challenge!
This weeks hostess is Maki and she is asking us to pick a letter of the alphabet and use at least three supplies/elements that start with the alphabet letter you picked. For example, if you pick "B", make your creation with "B"rads, "B"uttons, "B"ow, color "B"lue, designer papers by "B"asic Grey and so on.
I chose "C" in honor of my wonderful husband :)
Here are my "C's": Cherries, Circle, Cardstock and created a "CAS" (Clean-and-Simple) Card
I used Flourishes "Peaches and Cherries" I colored in and cut out with my craft knife and popped up on popdots. I used Flourishes "Classic White" cardstock that I embossed with a Spellbinders "Flourish", then placed my cherries on top of it. I added my sentiment and some bling to finish it all off.

I Love You, Mom!
If your a Mom, don't you just love to hear your children say those words? I do! As someone who is blessed with two Moms (Birth Mom & my Mother-In-Law), who are more wonderful then words can possibly say, the sentiment on my card says it simply and truthfully, from my heart :) This is my card I made for both of them, who if it wasn't for both of them, I wouldn't be who I am or here today :) Thank you, Mom's, I love you both very much and I don't know what I'd do with out either of you :)
This is the card I made for each of them.
I used Flourishes a sentiment from "Love and Lace" set that I stamped on Flourishes "Classic White" cardstock, on an Oval Spellbinder I made into a frame, then layered another Oval and Scalloped Oval Spellbinder under it. I placed that over a Spellbinder Fancy Tag #3 which is over a Rectangle and Scalloped Rectangle diecut mat. Fancy Tags and a Label #23 are at the base of the card. I finished everything by placing some silver pearls around the card.
Please excuse the grainy photo, I have been busy getting ready for Mother's Day at our house and my MIL's home too, so this was taken in the fading evening light :)
I also want to say that I am also very blessed to have such a wonderful family of my own, that make me feel like it's Mother's Day every day :)
Thank you for making everyday an adventure, being a blessing to me, and for your patience as I learn a new lesson each day on what being a Mother is truly about :) I Love each and everyone of you :)
Happy Mother's Day to each and everyone of the Mother's out there, both past and present :)

Timeless Tuesday Pink-A-Licious
Good morning and welcome to another fun filled Timeless Tuesday challenge! This weeks hostess is Silke and she is asking us to create a card or project featuring the color: Pink!
I love pink and it wasn't too hard for me to go crazy with the pink everywhere - LOL :)
Growing up, I hated pink. In my teen years my mom painted my room pink, but I never loved it. But what color was picked as the main color at my wedding? Pink. And now what color is my scrapping space, scraproom - PINK! :) See the gradual progression of my love of pink? There are various shades and uses for pink, and I think deep down most of us love pink, even if we don't know it ;)
So for my card, I used Flourishes "Magnolias" that I colored in with "Victorian Velvet", "Worn Lipstick", "Fired Brick", "Forrest Moss" and "Peeled Paint" Distress Inks. I cut out the flowers with my craft knife and popped it up on popdots. I used Flourishes "Love and Lace" lace frame under my Magnolias, and sponged it with "Victorian Velvet" Distress Ink. I used Flourishes "Scalloped Lace Trim", tied a May Arts "Champagne" ribbon over it, then placed a hatpin and button on to finish my card.
