Flourishes Timeless Tuesday: Favorite Stamp and Spellbinder

Good morning Flourishes Friends!! Today's hostess is Silke and she is challenging us to create a card or project with: Our Favorite Flourishes Stamp and Spellbinders!

This challenge excites me, the possibilities are endless, because I love all my stamps and Spellbinders!! I love focusing on sentiments, so I chose to feature one of my favorites on my card. I have had this card idea for a while, just waiting for the perfect challenge. I'm a fan of simple cards, and this is by far, my favorite elegant and simple card yet.
I used the sentiment from Flourishes "Butterflies and Blossoms" I stamped in Memento "Rich Cocoa" ink on top of Flourishes "Classic Ivory" cardstock. I cut the sentiment out with a Spellbinders Label # 20 then sponged it in with "Scattered Straw" Distress Ink. I cut out a few Spellbinder diecuts, popped them up on popdots, placed them around my card, then added pearls to them. For the card base I scored a 1/4 embossed line all around my card to frame my sentiment and diecuts in. I popped that up on top of another base, to which I also scored a 1/4 inch frame all the way around it.

From The Desk

Good Morning Timeless Tuesday, Friends!!! It is another fabulous inspirational Tuesday with Flourishes :)
The hostess this week is Cindy, and she is giving us a really good challenge this week. It is called: From The Desk. Create notecards, a monogrammed card.....or make something from whatever you can find on your desk. It's that simple :)

Well, for me it isn't that simple, after every card I usually clean up my area because I can't think or create with a messy space. But I had an image already colored in, left over from the Release Week "Arts and Letters" Challenge that I didn't end up using, but hadn't put away. I also had some ripped diecuts laying around too, so I used all of these to create my card. Please don't look too close, I tried covering up the rips but they are still there.

For my card sleeve I used a punch that I punched along one side and then left a 1 inch space and then punched down the other side, so it would look lacy. I added the Spellbinder "Damask Motifs" in Kraft CS and a Spellbinder "Wings Of Hope" butterfly on top, then I added a couple of Kaiser "Pearl" pearls.

For my card, I used Flourishes "From the Desk Of" on Flourishes "Classic White" Cardstock, stamped in Memento "Desert Sand" ink. I matted that on a scrap piece of Kraft paper. I colored the flowers and letters in with the following Copic Sketch markers:

Happiness At Your Door

Recently, my younger brother bought his first home, and it's a cozy little beauty!! One of those small but roomy homes that you love to go home to with a big yard in the back. Best thing is, he's only a 10 minute drive from the MOA (Mall of America)!! I foresee a trip sometime in the future, as there is an Archivers there in the MOA ;)
My Mom visited my brother for two weeks to help him unpack, sort, paint, buy a few pieces of furniture and decorate. I am told that it was a very productive visit and they had a lot of fun decorating :)

So to congratulate him on his new journey, I made him a card, as any good crafting sister would ;)
I chose to use Flourishes "Cottage Home" because I love the trees and sentiment. I wanted everything to look like a soft sunset in the moors.
I stamped the Flourishes "Cottage Home" on Flourishes "Classic White" cardstock then colored it in with Copic Sketch makers. I sponged my sunset in with "Scattered Straw" and "Wild Honey" Distress Ink.
I used the W0 & W3 Gray's for my pebble path and the following Copic Sketch Collections:

I wanted to pop my top layer and image off the page with some pop dots, but the it wouldn't be very mail friendly, so I kept it flat. I am not normally a fan of flat cards, but I think it still looks ok :) As long as I can mail it out to him, that's all that matters to me :)

Release Week Noon Challenge: Just Pop It!!

Welcome to June's Day One of Flourishes Release Week's Noontime Challenge! Today we are challenging you to: Pop It!

This challenge is all about adding dimension to your card or creation. Simply pop up an image on your card and you'll be in the running. What do we mean by giving your card pop? Isolate an area of your card and add dimension by cutting and popping up part of your image. For more information and how to play along, please visit the Flourishes Blog.
If you upload to SCS, please use the keyword FLLCJUNERW1. All entries must be in by Friday, June 15th to be in the running. The winner of this challenge gets Flourishes entire release for June!

I used Flourishes peaches image from the "Peaches and Cherries" set and the sentiment from "Seeds of Friendship". I colored my image in with watercolors, cut it out with a craft knife then popped it up on popdots. For the matting paper, I used Flourishes "Classic Ivory" cardstock, added some patterned paper, paper lace doily, a round die cut and some pearls to finish my card.
( I apologize for the odd reflective look on my leaves, I had to take the picture outside; so the light is reflecting off of them).

Please check out the rest of the Flourishes design team for more Noon Time "Pop It" inspirations! Remember, if you play along you will be in the running to win the entire June Release!  Good Luck! :)

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday: Father's Day!

Good Morning Flourishes Friends!! This week our hostess Heather and she is challenging us to: Create a Father's Day Card or Project!
It's that time of year where we get to honor the men in our lives who put up with our crafting passion and hand over their wallets to pay for our craft supplies! And this is where we get to challenge ourselves to create a masculine card!

My husband grew up fishing with his Dad in Montreal, so I decided to make a card that would remind him of those memories. They would catch Perch, Northern, and Small Mouth Bass. But Chris's favorite fish he was only able to catch twice was a Trout. So I decided this card was going to feature the beautiful colors of a Trout :)

I used Flourishes "What A Catch" that I stamped out on Flourishes "Classic White Cardstock". I colored the fish image in with watercolors, then cut it out with my craft knife, and popped it up on popdots. The splashing water was colored in with the following Copic Collections:

Timeless Tuesday: White With Pearls or Lace

Good morning Timeless Friends! It's my turn to host the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge and I am challenging you to: Create a White Card with Lace and or Pearls.

June is here and it's known as the wedding month. I was a June bride myself, and in three days it will be our 11th wedding anniversary, so I created an anniversary card. But it's also nice to have a wedding card on hand, so I am going to make an extra one, just in case :)

I stamped Flourishes "Wedded Bliss" on Flourishes Classic White Cardstock. I stamped the image in Memento "London Fog" ink then cut it out and popped it up on popdots and added pearls to add an elegant wedding touch.

Because this was our anniversary card for my husband, I decided to let him design it for us. I figured why not, he should enjoy it too :) He chose the Spellbinders he liked that created a lacy window look, and requested that the colors be soft. So with all of those requests, I did my best to create a soft and romantic card for us. I know he'll love it since I have created a couple cards like this, and he's always loved them and called them his favorites :)
