Here are the Copic Collections I used:

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday: Birthdays!

Good Morning Timeless Tuesday friends! It's time for another fun challenge, and this week I am challenging you to: Create a Birthday Card or Project!! It's as simple and easy as that! Who doesn't need a birthday card at the last moment? I know I do :)

I used Flourishes new "Inside and Out Happy" stamp set. This is my new favorite go to set with all of it's easy and quick sentiments for any occasion!

I stamped Flourishes "Inside and Out Happy" birthday sentiment out on Flourishes "Classic White" cardstock that I cut out with a diecut. I cut some pennants from Spellbinders "Nested Pennants" dies with papers from the Flourishes 123 "Viola" Kit, which the ribbon and rhinestones are also from.

All this month I am using Flourishes "Viola" 123 Kit. With all of it's versatility and embellishments, you will want one too! I personally loved all of the beautiful papers and trims :)

Splitcoaststampers Product Review: Xyron

I've had a love/hate affair with adhesives since I started scrapping. The very first adhesive I bought was from Walmart, from a company called Vario. It was so expensive ($8 a refill), and it wouldn't even stick properly to my cards when it got hot out. Then Walmart decided to get rid of their scrapbooking sections, so I couldn't get it anyway. Ugh. I got fed up and started what seemed like an endless adhesive search. And I just about gave up when the ladies at Splitcoast Stampers decided to review the Xyron Permanent Glue Stick and Xyron Mini Sticker Maker. I gave it a try and I am giving my full review on the SCS Product Forum: HERE.

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday: Winter

Good morning! It's time for yet another fun filled Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge! This week Cindy is challenging us to create a : Winter Inspired Card or Project! This is one of those fun challenges for me, because I absolutely love winter!

I decided to pull out one of this month's new releases called "Snow Day" and create a playful kind of card.

I used Flourishes "Snow Day" stamped on paper from Flourishes 123 "Viola" Kit. I stamped the image out another piece of paper from the Viola Kit to create the ice skate's "pom-poms". Then I used a Tailor-Made Classic Keyhole Die to frame up the skates. The lace, ribbon and green rhinestone are also from the Viola 123 Kit, then I used V04 Copic from the Flourishes Violet Copic Collection, to color the laces in and complete the look.
Here is the Copic Collection I used for this card:

TIP: Don't be afraid to mix mediums and look for coloring inspirations in other places. I was in my local Micheals two years ago and found tiny bottles of Model Car paint for 25 cents each! I picked some up and used the Gold paint to highlight the skate's blades for some interest. It has a great metallic shine that you just can't get from markers.

All this month I am using Flourishes "Viola" 123 Kit. With all of it's versatility and embellishments, you will want one too! I personally loved all of the beautiful papers and trims :)

Release Week Noontime Challenges: Go Natural!

Good afternoon and welcome to Flourishes Release Week Noontime Challenge: Go Natural!

Because this is a Go Natural challenge I kept everything extremely minimal and let the image itself shine.
I used Flourishes new "Naturally Merry" set  stamped on Flourishes Classic White Cardstock and colored in with Copics. The patterned papers are from Flourishes "Viola" 123 Kit and I used a Kraft cardstock accent.

I used the following Copic Collections:

Have You Ever Tried...?

Have you ever tried...? Have you heard that phrase before? In the crafting world it can be the most informative phrase you will ever hear!

I heard that phrase a few weeks ago from my friend Marie at my LSS. We were speaking about Copics and she asked me if I tried the Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noirs yet. She raved about them and said I needed to try them and that she loved them more then her Copics!!! They are alcohol based just like the Copics, but you use circular motions instead of flicking like you do with Copics. But with no retail shops are here carrying them I thought I'd focus on my learning to use my Copics.

Two days later, what arrives on my doorstep, the Spectrum Noirs!! Those markers were selected as the Splitcoast stampers Product Focus!! How serendipitous is that?! So if you want to hear if I loved them or not, and my personal opinion about them, please visit the Splitcoast Stampers Product Forum today :)

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday: Think Pink Challenge

Good morning Flourishes Friends! Today is a very special Timeless Tuesday. This week we are teaming up with Flourishes Bring Back Beautiful team for our Timeless tuesday Challenge: Think Pink! Create a card featuring the color Pink!
Because October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, we are teaming up to create for the cause!  Stay tuned to the Flourishes Blog, if you play along with this challenge - you might be eligible to play along in another challenge that's making strides and saving lives in the fight against Breast Cancer!

I used Flourishes "Feminine Charm" that I colored in with alcohol markers (not Copics) and fussy cut it out and popped it up on popdots off of my paper. The sentiment is also from the Feminine Charm set that I stamped onto Flourishes Tailor-Made Classic Tags die set. I used some Spellbinder dies and embossed a background on my paper with them to highlight my image. The black faceted pearl flourish, and the black and white paper is from Flourishes 123 Kit. I also used Flourishes Baby Pink ribbon to finish it off.

All this month I will be using Flourishes October 123 Kit so keep your eyes out for it!! :)
