Hello Flourishes Free for All Friday friends! I have a beautiful card for you today. I created a card using Flourishes Hollyhocks set.
I diecut out an hour glass shape using Flourishes Perfectly Pierced Hourglass die with Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock. Then I stamped out the Hollyhocks onto the diecut, keeping the die in place so that the stamp image stayed within the open “window” borders. I removed the die and colored in the image with Copic markers. After coloring the image in, I created my card base with some added design papers. After attaching the design papers to my card base, I added some Color Made Easy ribbon in Azure Collection (#39) on top of my lace I added. I added my Hollyhock image and a bow made out of the 1/4 Azure Collection (#39) Color Made Easy ribbon and a pewter rose button on top of that, and completed my card with various aqua colored pearls all over my background, in the flower centers, of the card.
Thank you for stopping by, and I hope this inspires your crafting this weekend!

Zinnias
Good morning and happy Saturday everyone! I have an easy and fun card to show you, today.
I stamped out the Zinnia image onto Flourishes Classic White cardstock and colored it in with Copic markers, using a large variety.
Then after coloring the image in, I cut it out using Spellbinders A2 Borders and added some popdots under the diecut image so it will pop off the Color Made Easy Taupe cardstock background. After placing my image on the background I added a few white pearls to my card to highlight the diecut shape movements, and that completed my card.
I just got a new set from Flourishes called Zinnias and I got right to crafting with it! I have wanted this set for quite a while so imagine my delight when Flourishes brought it back for a limited time! When I was young, my mother would plant Zinnias near our back porch for some fall color and I just loved how cheery they made the garden look and feel. I just loved how those flowers gave such pop of color and the richness of their color depth! Don't let the amount of petals intimidate you at all, they are incredibly easy to color in and look fabulous when finished. Keep it simple and stick to three colors at first and let your creativity flow.
Don't forget that Flourishes is having a pretty large blow out sale, until July 31st!! This Zinnia set and many others are on sale at a deep discount so get them while they're available! They are being cleared out to make room for more inventory, so please don't delay in getting some nice floral and many other kinds of images!
Join me next Friday for another Flourishes card, which is one of my recent favorites, so don't miss it!

Happy Independence Day
Hello crafting friends happy early Independence Day! Today I am showing you a card I made for the 4th of July.
I used Patriotism on Parade, I stamped onto Flourishes
Classic White Cardstock I matted with Flourishes Color Made Easy Christmas Red Cardstock & Iced Aqua cardstocks. Then I stamped out the sentiment onto a Flourishes Tailor-Made Classic Tags die and tied a 1/4 May Arts Red Silk Ribbon to the top loop of the tag die.
I sponged the background in a yellow to represent the fireworks glow and I added a few heavier sponge circles to show the fireworks "die off" effect, like the afterglow after a firecracker dying out.
I hope this card gets you in the crafty mood for the weekend, because Flourishes is having a 4th Sale!! They are offering 10% off the entire store! Plus, if you all three of the 3 June Releases, you will save 20% off on them!!
Also, starting JULY 5th, ALL DIES are on sale 40% off - once they are gone, they are gone. First come first served. Find all the details here at FLOURISHES.
I'll be back next week with a nice Shabby Chic card I know you'll all love!

Flourishes June Release Challenge!!
June is such a beautiful month! At least in my neck of the woods it's full of green, and blooming outdoor colors and textures. In just a few short days we'll be unveiling a new round of stamps at Flourishes inspired by the outdoors. We're really excited to show them to you. So today, we're challenging you to be inspired by the TEXTURES of Nature!
HOW TO PLAY: Create something with an outdoorsy texture in mind - or use an element from nature as part of your design. It could be the texture in an embossing folder that has woodgrain, leaves or vines, it could be a leaf rubbing behind your image, something glossy like rain or shiny like a berry. The interpretation is up to you! If you play along with us, you could win Flourishes entire June Stamp Release! If you upload to SCS please use the keyword FLLCJUN13. You can enter as many times as you like, but we want you to know if you use your Flourishes stamps, your entry counts twice! You have until Friday June 14, 2013 at 5 PM EST to enter. Just be sure to enter your creation below using our InLinkz Widgit. Enjoy exploring those nature textures!
I was inspired by the soft textures of baby chicks so I pulled out my Easter Wishes stamp set.
I stamped my Easter Wishes out on Classic White cardstock in Versafine Black Onyx ink on top of a Perfectly Pierced Classic Frames diecut. Then I colored my image in with Copics and mounted it on popdots on top of a Spellbinder die shape, which I matted some cardstock from the Color Made Easy in Rich Browns, behind it. I added some yellow flocking to my chick image for my texture and then used some Color Made Easy ribbon from the Sunflower collection in Antique Gold, a black button and some Metallic Silver String cording tied to a Tailor Made Classic Tag die with my sentiment from Easter Wishes, as my finishing touch.

I used Flourishes new "Bees and Blooms" stamp set that I stamped onto Classic White cardstock, in Memento Angel Pink. I stamped out my sentiment, also from Bees and Blooms, in Versafine Onyx Black, then I added Kaiser Kraft pearls in Blush. I framed the card with Color Made Easy Candy Pink cardstock and popped it up on popdots to make it seem like you were looking out a window at the Bees and Blooms.

I used the Garden Gate stamp, stamping it with a solvent ink onto a sheet of Clear Cover Cardstock and colored everything in with the following Copic Collections : Crocus Collection, Flesh Tones 2 Collection, Olive Green Collection and the Evergreen Collection. I made a frame with the lightest cardstock from each of the Color Made Easy lines in Rich Browns and Pistachio, adhering my acetate to it using popdots to lift my image off the background paper. For my embellishments, I added some Scalloped Guipure Ivory lace, some Iced Lime Color Made Easy ribbon, a single Cream Leaf Pin and some small flowers.
*Note: If you are planning on coloring items in on clear Acetate cardstock, I have just a tip or two. You can't blend on clear cardstock very well. I have had mixed results, mostly success, but the more color you lay down, the stickier the cardstock gets. Which leads me to my next tip, if you do decide to color an image in, notice my image is "reversed" from the actual stamp image. I did that on purpose, to show the versatility of stamping on a clear cover cardstock. But when you color your image in, besure to place the colored inside so it's not facing out because it can get sticky, by facing it forward it will be smooth.
And of course I couldn't help myself, so I made another card because I really missed fussy cutting out my images!
I used stamped the Garden Gate out in Versafine Onyx Black onto Classic White cardstock, and colored my image in with the following Copics: Poppy, Olive Green, Terra Cotta, Copper, Flesh Tones 2, Sunflower and Blue Jeans Collections. After fussy cutting out my image, I adhered it on a die cut shape I cut in half and mounted them onto popots. I sponged my background diecut in Broken Glass Distress Ink, then I used my ScorTape and adhered everything to my card base that I diecut out. I made a base from Clear Cover Cardstock, which holds all those delicate pieces of the card together for me. kept the embellishment simple, only adding some Snow White Kaiser Pearls.
Here is the back of the card.
